Our family has been building in Northern California for over four decades. My earliest childhood memories are of riding around with my dad, job to job, yard to yard. We often joke that I was more or less born on a job site, and there’s definitely truth to that. Now, over 30 years later, here we are still doing what we love. Uncompromising in our craft, obsessed with the details, and hellbent on building one-of-a-kind homes that last a lifetime.
KC Karnes | Co-owner

Our co-owner, Chad, started his general contracting business in Northern California almost forty years ago, and has been at it ever since. That's the foundation under everything at Jackson Layne. Decades of knowing how a house comes together, plus a network of trade partners we've worked alongside for years. That kind of experience is the best insurance a project can have.

Craftsmanship is at the core of everything we do. A blend of skill, attention to detail, and respect for both materials and the client’s vision. Rooted in tradition, we create work that is not only functional but beautiful and built to last for generations.
In 2023, we rebranded our family’s 35-year-old construction company with a new name and identity. One part grandfather (Jackson), one part grandson (Layne), Jackson Layne Construction brings together multiple generations of home builders and carries on our family’s legacy. As we prepare to pass the torch to the next generation, our service and craftsmanship keep improving with age.

Jackson Layne is not actually a person. It's our family story. Jackson is the middle name of the man who started this legacy. Layne is the name of his grandson. A way to honor where we come from and where we're going. Three generations in one name, and work we're willing to stand behind.
