Before any work begins, there’s a moment worth capturing.
The San Jose Homeplex is about to undergo a major transformation, but before any site work starts, we like to pause and document the home as it exists today. This post serves as a snapshot in time. A clear look at the property, its layout, and the conditions we’re starting from.
Project Snapshot:
Below is a short video walkthrough of the home prior to construction.

At this stage, nothing major has been touched. No demolition. No site preparation. Just the existing structure and surrounding conditions, exactly as they were when the project began.
For homeowners, this phase often feels quiet, but it’s an important reference point. It helps frame the scope of work ahead and gives context to every decision that follows during design and construction.
The San Jose Homeplex is a multi-unit residential build that will involve significant changes to both the structure and the site itself. Over the coming months, we’ll walk through how the project evolves step by step, from early groundwork through framing and beyond.
If you’re interested in how a project moves from planning into active construction, this is the place to start.
With the existing conditions documented, the project moves into site preparation, where groundwork begins and the site is readied for construction.
